At the start of November my girlfriend and I decided to do a Pisgah Weekender – hiking a multi-day loop around Shinning Rock. The confluent region of National Parks and Forests etched along the tri-borders of North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee offers a delirious range of hiking options.
Dan and I met for the first time just shy of a year ago. He conducted an interview, covering the impending release of my newly published travel memoir with an article for the travel section of The West Australian.
After completing a first draft for a second travel book titled “Beat Zen & the Art of Dave”, David found it easy to justify circumventing his regular life once again and get back on the open road.
